“ My wife and my father-in-law popped in for a cold one on a whim, and it turned out to be well worth it. It was like we had been there a hundred times, and we were treated like old regulars. Six beers in we decided we'd better move on, as we'd already made plans for the evening. It would have been very easy to just make a day of it there though. ”
“ They don’t serve food, but the drinks are delicious. The French 75 and the old-fashioned represent. Quintessential New Orleans bar scene. If you wanna take it all in authentically stop by this place and have a drink. ”
“ Great neighborhood bar to wet your whistle when walking around the garden district. ”
“ SUPER friendly!! Make sure you talk to Porter (if he's there) to learn some REAL New Orleans history!! ”
“ Sami was an absolute treat as a bartender. We were pretty rowdy and she gave all the nonsense right back in a funny, sarcastic, but still friendly way. If you’re popping into Garden District Pub you should hope Sami is behind the bar if you want to have a good time. ”
“ Hole in the wall place you can't beat for watching Saints games or anything else. Great friendly staff ”
“ We were staying nearby and after a less than comfortable experience at another bar, we wandered into the GDP. The server was friendly. We also enjoyed the atmosphere and had a good conversation with a couple near us. Definitely would come back again! ”
“ Such a perfect neighborhood bar with great natural light in the middle of the day, and a couple of big screens with games on so inclined to watch. Everything was very clean and there’s a real sense of care of ownership in the space. We had a great bartender with a good selection of local beers and cocktails if necessary. ”
